Families and Birthday Celebrations
So… after a few days of not writing here, I thought I best get my act together before I fall out of the habit altogether again. I had interruptions to the normal routine last week; it was my birthday, visited family, trips to Ikea and potential flooding at home. Just your usual stuff you know!
So the nice stuff, I woke up to a big surprise from Dave, & I think he’s come to realise that he may have to have the new Ipad he bought me surgically removed. Since I opened it, it hasn’t left my side. Apart from being super sexy, it is one of the most useful items for keeping me on top of things and in touch with my online life, so much handier that my machine (which I still love).
After dropping Dave at work I had lunch with my friend then popped to my mum’s where me & Fraser camped out for most of the afternoon. My Auntie Diane called by with her Granddaughter Georgia, who is a few months older than Fraser.
Luckily my cousins and I are close and Emma (Georgia’s mum), Sammi (one of my other cousins) & I try to meet up every couple of weeks. Our Grandma would have just loved to see her family continuing to all get together as we had done as kids. For now I think it makes the new generation of Grandparents on all sides just as happy.
Here is Georgia sharing her crackers with Fraser
This made for a very lovely afternoon and at night Dave had arranged to take me out for a meal, just the two of us. So Lynn came round to ours and babysat Fraser and we headed to town for a meal at Create. I’m not really into being a food critic but I will say that it was a really lovely atmosphere, great service and outstanding food. If you get the chance to go I’d recommend it. Then as it was still early we headed to All Bar One for a bit of a drink before home time to see the boy. That was just Wednesday day! Still crafting to be done before the week was out.
More on the crafting in another post as I’ve rambled on enough here!

Glad you had a lovely birthday!
It is great that your family is so close, I often wish I was closer to my extended family. As it is, I don’t see them that often so we don’t really know each other. D’s family are all really close and I think it is lovely and hope to stay that way if we have kids.
Look forward to the crafting post!
